I am an oil painter and have been doing large oil paintings on monoprinted black Arches paper for 45 years. I put a dark surface coat of printers ink on the black paper to give it a nice flat surface to draw on with a pencil. After the drawing is complete I coat it with a polymer base to protect the paper-then I paint on it with Holbein oil paints. . My images are narratives of things that are happening in my life and in the world around me. The characters may at times take on an animal form that reminds me of the person I am depicting. I hope the animals don't mind.
