ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Since 1980, Steve and Miky Cunningham have been working together, creating unique pieces of artwork that are aesthetically pleasing as well as functional.

Steve studied under master potter Dean Schwarz. From there he has developed his own style that has gone through multiple changes to this day. Through it all, he’s gone from slips to glazes, using wheel-throwing to hand-building techniques. He develops all of his own glazes and slips, currently using Steve’s Red glaze.

Together the Cunningham’s travel around the United States exhibiting their work at many art shows and galleries. They have felt fortunate at being able to have this lifestyle while raising a family, doing what they love. There work is functional and food-safe. They create pots for the people and for all to enjoy.
