Artist Statement

Elizabeth Stettler’s woodcuts are inspired by science, nature, and her current home in Austin, Texas. All of her work is printed by hand in small batches at her home studio, including the screen printed tea towels and onesies using her woodcut imagery. Elizabeth grew up in Iowa City as Elizabeth Roberts – you may know her artist parents Michael and Connie Roberts.  Elizabeth received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa where she focused in sculpture, printmaking and drawing.
