ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I’ve been a maker all of my life. Learning to make hooked rugs as a child with my grandmother, to building boats with my husband. Painting, stained glass, weaving, carpentry and welding in between. When I discovered clay in the early 90’s I had found my medium. It was love at first touch.

Working with clay is so sensuous - immediate - and has endless possibilities. You’ll find me working in my studio every day. These porcelain animal ornaments have taken over much of my time; but I couldn’t be happier about that. I have about 80 animals in my collection now and continue to come up with new ones. Thank you!
