Barbara Santucci graduated with a B.S. ED from Loyola University,Chicago, and has received a MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College. She has studied art at Rockford College and NIU and has taken numerous paining and collage workshops throughout the country. Her artwork is shown in various galleries throughout the Midwest. Barbara loves to create collage paintings incorporating acrylics, pastels, and handmade papers. And she is in love with oil pastels! Barbara received the Blanche Ellis Starr Award for Leader in the Arts in Rockford, Illinois. She was also chosen as one of the fifty Illinois artists to participate in the Illinois Women Artist Millennium Show. Barbara was a member of the art faculty at the Womanspace Center in Rockford, Illinois. She has been a part of the Rockford Art Museum Midwestern Art Show. She is also a published author of three children's picture books: ANNA'S CORN, LOON SUMMER and ABBY's CHAIRS.
