ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I have an engineering background (nothing related to art), but I've always been looking for a way to be part of the art world. In 2019, I went to the Moscow Academy of Crafts to study the technique of stained glass and fusing. At that time, I was also learning to paint with acrylics and oils. This gave me the opportunity to combine my skills in painting and working with glass. I love the idea of painting the glass and then fusing it to create long lasting colorful patterns. One of the main features of my items is the use of bright colors.

As a result, the idea of creating hand-painted glass jewelry was born.

First, I cut out the desired shapes from glass, then I grind them to a smooth shape, paint them by hand and fire them in a kiln according to a well-established and proven technological scheme. After I take the fused products out of the kiln, I grind and polish if necessary, and prepare the final products.
