Michael Ryan

Michael S Ryan is a contemporary American colorist painter.  He can be described as mix of both new impressionism and new expressionism.  In simple terms, his paintings are a quilt-like combination of color, design, and bold expressive brushwork.  Ryan paints both landscape and figures.  Many of his larger paintings are at home in corporate and institutional settings while the smaller work fits nicely into any home.  His work is found in museum, institutional, corporate, and individual collections across the US.
