ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Amy Kriz Ackman is a graphic designer from Cedar Rapids with a passion for fonts, letters, and photography. She sees beyond the obvious to offer a fresh perspective of signs, nature, architecture, and everyday objects in beautiful and easily identifiable photo letters.

Although she has taken many photographs from journeys throughout the country, she especially enjoys highlighting places close to her home and heart. She captures the essence of Iowa by focusing her lens on its cities, educational institutions, recreation areas, countryside, and backroads. She is officially licensed by the University of Iowa to create a variety of Hawkeye-themed art.
